CONVENTION CENTER AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES NEW MEMBER

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Convention Center Authority announced the appointment of a new member, Waverly D. Crenshaw, Jr.  Crenshaw was appointed by Mayor Karl Dean and confirmed by Metro Council last night.

Crenshaw is currently a partner at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis and has received a number of awards during his years at Waller, including being named one of the "Best 101 Lawyers" in Tennessee by Business Tennessee. Crenshaw previously served as Board Chair of the Metropolitan Nashville Hospital Authority Board of Trustees.

"Waverly has generously served the Nashville community for years and we are excited to have him on board," said Charles Starks, President/CEO of the Music City Center. "As we begin a very busy year, his expertise will be incredibly valuable."

Crenshaw's term will begin immediately and he will serve a four-year term.
