Responsible for performing various duties in the coordination and support of the Purchasing/DBE department.
Duties are as follows:
•Assists with the procurement process involving the researching, writing and editing of RFPs (Request for Proposals).
•Develops related presentations, completes analytical interpretation and applies procurement policy.
•Schedules internal and external meetings with key department heads, vendors, contractors and bidders.
•Maintains, coordinates, and completes any investigations related to the diversity tracking and compliance database.
•Ensures Nashville’s diversity is reflected in the Convention Center Authority’s contracts, services, and business practices.
Bachelor’s Degree is required with one to three years of experience in Purchasing or DBE preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required. Must be independent and self-directed.
