Music City Center

The Music City Center is proud to announce that our wonderful building has been selected as the winner of the 2013 Governor's Environmental Stewardship Award in the Building Green category!

Welcome to the Nashville Music City Center blog. As you probably all know, the Music City Center opened just a few weeks ago and we decided to start this blog to keep you all up to date on all the exciting events going on around here.

For those of you who were unable to join us, our Grand Opening event was a huge success! An estimated 15,000 people toured the building during the two day celebration. During Sunday's Open House, tours, live music, activities and food were all over the building. Guests filled all 2,500 chairs in the Grand Ballroom, which was standing room only while the Nashville Symphony performed.

Monday started off with the 9 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony. Guests were then ushered upstairs for the 50th State of Metro address, featuring a guest performance by Brad Paisley. Guests were able to tour the building again on Monday evening, while the outdoor 5th Avenue stage rocked with performances by the Time Jumpers with Vince Gill, the Fisk Jubilee Singers, Mikky Ekko, and Sheryl Crow. To wrap up the two day celebration, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau put on an amazing firework show behind the 5th Avenue stage.
