FAQ
Waiting to build a convention center is costing Nashville money, jobs and growth.
Since 1999, Nashville has lost 288 conventions. More and more conventioneers are taking their money to cities with facilities that can better accommodate the size of their growing conventions.

The Music City Center is the best way to expand Nashville’s tourism industry and open the door to a new era of growth and prosperity. The Music City Center is projected to bring Nashville:
- an additional 1 million visitors per year
- a $700 million increase in visitor spending
- 36,000 new jobs
- $65 million in additional state and local tax revenues
The cost of doing nothing would mean fewer national conventions and declines in sales tax revenue and employment for Nashville. Click here to join the Music City Center Coalition in its efforts to make the Music City Center a reality.
