Revenue and Expenditure Report

The following is a full listing of the visitor tax revenue collected to fund the proposed Music City Center and the expenditures spent on work for the project. The Metro Finance Department plans to update this ledger on a quarterly basis and leave it open for public inspection on this web site.

Revenue Details
The following shows the month-by-month totals for the various visitor tax revenues being collected to fund the proposed Music City Center. Each of those revenue streams was created and approved by the Metro Council to be used only for the development of a new convention center.

Expenditure Details
The following is a full listing of the expenditures through last month on predevelopment work for the proposed Music City Center. The listing includes the date, the recipient of payment and the amount paid.

These expenditures were made using only visitor tax dollars that have been earmarked for the new downtown convention center. The revenues are generated by hotel/motel taxes, rental car fees and other tariffs that were created to finance the MCC. The expenditure of those taxes was authorized by a unanimous vote of the Metro Nashville Council.
