The Music City Center team is happy to report that we have completed all necessary underground utility installation and work. All lane and road closures previously associated with the Music City Center are no longer in effect, and we do not have any additional long-term lane closures scheduled in the foreseeable future.

Lane Closures for Korean Veterans Boulevard
Motorists who drive through the 8th Avenue South/Lafayette Street intersection will soon encounter significant traffic changes as Metro Public Works (MPW) begins ramping up construction of the Korean Veterans Boulevard Extension.
Beginning Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, the following lane restrictions will apply
- 8th Avenue (January 14 – December 2012)
- One lane closed in each direction from Gleaves Street to Clark Place.
- Lafayette Street
- Between 8th Avenue and Peabody Street, eastbound traffic will merge onto the westbound side and be one lane in each direction.
- Lea Street
- Between 7th and 8th Avenues, Lea will be one-way with a left turn only onto 8th Avenue South.
Alternate Routes
- 2nd Avenue South (one-way) for inbound travel and 4th Avenue South (one-way) for outbound travel
- Travel through The Gulch using Division Street and 12th Avenue South
- Use Palmer Place and 10th Avenue South to Demonbreun and avoid congestion at the 8th Ave/Lafayette intersection.
- From Lafayette, take Elm Street to 2nd Avenue or 3rd Avenue South for inbound travel.

Omni Hotel Construction Lane Closures
On Monday, June 13, 2011, Brasfield & Gorrie, the construction manager of the Omni Hotel, began their initial mobilization, including site fencing, to prepare for the construction of the Omni Hotel. Beginning Monday, June 20, 2011, the following lane closures will apply:
5th Avenue (June 20, 2011 – duration of construction)
- One northbound lane (the eastern-most lane that borders the Omni site) will be closed from Peabody St. to Demonbreun St.
4th Avenue (June 20, 2011 – duration of construction)
- One southbound lane (the western-most land that borders the Omni site) will be closed from Peabody St. to Demonbreun St.
All other lanes on 4th and 5th Avenues will be unaffected.
